For the second mobility of the Project ER4S the
host country was Portugal and the activities took place in Agrupamento
de Escolas de Arouca. There were 6 teachers and 16
students from Villadiego, Mytilene and Patras
1st Day
The day started with a short but pleasant welcoming of all the partners
by the Mayor at the town hall.
Then
all the teams went to school to start the project activities.
At school, the students from each partner country presented their schools and their
educational systems.

In addition, the students from Portugal provided
information about all the activities that had been done at school since the
beginning of the project. Both students and teachers learned about renewable
energy resources in the region and their importance for a sustainable planet
and a better future.
Afterwards, everyone had
the opportunity to visit the school and to participate in workshops on
renewable energy. The students were given leaflets with specific information
about the workshops.
All the students learned about the efficiency of the photovoltaic panel for the school
sustainability. And had the
opportunity to watch a dance class
Lunch was at the school pedagogical restaurant for all the teams.
In the afternoon, there was a guided tour to the town centre
There was also a visit to Quintãs farm houses, a different type of hotel accommodation that won the 2018 National Urban Rehabilitation Award, in the category of best energy efficiency solution for thermal insulation, waterproofing, light and wind control. |
The small
zoo as part of the complex was also worth a
visit.
