Students work in the ISLab

After returning to school, on 20/4/2021 our students worked in our IS Lab with the Arduino sensors, monitoring temperature and humidity ​​of the environmental conditions.

More specifically, with the use of temperature and humidity sensors, the data is stored for further analysis.

The whole process is done with the Arduino reading the values ​​of the environmental conditions from the sensors and sending the data to be processed.

ΓΕΩΘΕΡΜΙΑ

 Την Τρίτη 20/04/2021, στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος Erasmus+ “Energy Resourses for sustainability”, ο κος Συκάς Ιωάννης, πρώην Δήμαρχος Πολιχνίτου, στην αίθουσα εκδηλώσεων του σχολείου μας, ενημέρωσε τους μαθητές/τριες που συμμετέχουν στο συγκεκριμένο πρόγραμμα σχετικά με τις θερμές πηγές Πολιχνίτου. 

Κατά τη διάρκεια της ενημέρωσης, ο κος Συκάς αναφέρθηκε στην παλαιότερη προσπάθεια αξιοποίησης των συγκεκριμένων πηγών για τηλεθέρμανση της περιοχής, στις δυσκολίες που προέκυψαν, στις δυνατότητες που υπάρχουν, αλλά και στα οφέλη που θα προκύψουν στην τοπική κοινωνία από τη μελλοντική χρήση της γεωθερμίας. 

Ακολούθησε συζήτηση, κατά τη διάρκεια της οποίας ο κος Συκάς απάντησε στις ερωτήσεις των μαθητών/τριών μας.

ΔΙΑΛΕΞΗ ΓΙΑ ΤΗ ΓΕΩΘΕΡΜΙΑ ΚΑΙ ΤΗ ΒΙΟΜΑΖΑ ΣΤΗ ΛΕΣΒΟ

Την Τετάρτη 14/04/2021, στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος Erasmus+, πραγματοποιήθηκε εξ αποστάσεως διάλεξη του Επίκουρου Καθηγητή του Τμήματος Περιβάλλοντος του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου, κου Στέργιου Βακάλη,  στους μαθητές της Α’ και Β΄ Λυκείου. 

Κατά τη διάρκεια της διάλεξης παρουσιάστηκαν τα παρακάτω θέματα:

1. Η γεωθερμία στη Λέσβο
2. Η βιομάζα στη Λέσβο
3. Παραγωγή ενέργειας από βιομάζα (πχ απόβλητα και υπολείμματα γεωργίας, αστικά υγρά απόβλητα, στερεά απόβλητα)
4. Μελλοντικές προοπτικές

ONLINE MEETING

 On April 15, the partners involved in the Erasmus+ project “Energy Resources For Sustainability”, had an on-line meeting to coordinate and schedule activities as well as to evaluate the progress of the project.

QUIZ

 This QUIZ was created in order to check the degree of knowledge acquisiton by students about renewable energy sourses. 

After completing it, only the answers to the questions that have not been answered correctly are displayed.

At the end the user is redirected to the project's blog.

Teleconference for renewable sources

 On Friday, April 2, 2021 and in collaboration with the Head of Environmental Education of the Secondary Education Department of Achaia Mr. Papaioannou Ioanna and Enel Green PowerHellas a teleconference was held on the topic of renewable energy sources, which was attended by the students of 1^st class of Arsakeio Lyceum of Patras. 

More specifically, a brief presentation took place on conventional and renewable energy sources and their role in environmental protection and contribution to sustainable development.
