VISIT TO BURGOS UNIVERSITY

Visit to the Polytechnic University of Burgos 27th February 2020 The visit was divided into different parts: Visit to the materials laboratory. The objective of this laboratory is to analyse the properties of the materials and how to make them. The tests carried out were: traction endurance over steel bar and the compaction endurance of a concrete test tube.Construction laboratory. It is the place where students visualize the processes of construction and the electricity and water systems. We also saw the use of different types of materials.

Greenhouse: we saw the fertilising process, the temperature regulation system, the different types of wine pruning and fruit trees. 

START--UP PROJECT SURVEY AT VILLADIEGO'S STREET MARKET

We went to the street market in Villadiego to do our first survey about the Erasmus+project. We interviewed people from the area. We realised that many people (mainly elderly people) didn't know much about renewable energies. However, we also spoke with other people who gave information about what they knew and the type of energy they use in their daily lives. The most common type of energy used in Villadiego is biomass, firewood and natural gas.

Study trip with a group of students to the “Ribeiradio Dam” – 5^th February  2020

DREAM, CHEMISTRY and ENERGY

On the 30th January 2020, Gabriel García Herbosa, a science teacher at University of Burgos, gave a talk in Campos de Amaya Secondary School. The title was "Dreams, Chemistry and Energy". It dealt with the objective of getting clean, sustainable and respectful to environment energies, especifically photovoltaic and eolic energy with fuel batteries, with hydrocarbon, hydrogen solar fuels, with artificial photosynthesis (or the reduction of CO2).
